I think just about every Android device, be it a phone or a tablet, has some sort of basic audio up-down button. This widget gives you direct access to control the audio volume of various aspects of your device, like the voice, media, ringer, alerts, etc. You can even create Work, Home and other profiles, and set up times of the day when the audio settings should change between those profiles.
